I’ve had a few different randomisation tables based on the original brilliant Mythic. As my tools for developing new directions in freeform story games have evolved I’ve continued to look for richer outcomes with simpler mechanisms.
Looking back I see that the last version of my variable result table was quite a complex one that was reminiscent of an older edition of Gamma World. It looks impressive, but it can take a little work to get into.
The following is my updated version. It still gives the Yes-And; Yes; Yes-But; No-But; No and No-And results, but uses 5d12’s instead. I find this a much faster process. Feel free to use it if you too find this a simpler method.
